Cluster-"Zuckerzeit"(1974)
Hans-Joachim Roedelius performed last Saturday and it was such a treat to see this "electronic music pioneer"(e.g.Cluster, Harmonia). As with all Ambient Church performances, the visuals were great and the vibe was perfect for some kosmische Musik.
Emeralds-"Does It Look Like I'm Here"(2010)
With many contributing factors including the church venue, nice crowd, and insane projection-mapping visuals- John Elliott and Steve Hauschildt from Emeralds put on probably one of the best ambient/drone performances I've ever seen. I couldn't find any footage from the Ambient Church show so I'll just post this here.
Laraaji-"Ambient 3/Day of Radiance"(1980)
I had the pleasure of seeing Laraaji perform in Greenwood Cemetery a couple weeks ago. What a treat on so many levels. He'll be back for an Ambient Church set in December and i cannot fucking wait. Brian Eno sure has always had an ear for great music. He produced this (basically put Laraaji on the map) just a few years after producing "No New York".
