Ron Morelli-"Laugh Taker"(2018)
Sounding like bastard child of Unit Moebius' "Overload" meets Winx rave classic "Don't Laugh" this is straight up gutter warehouse gear made for the DJs to mix and the freaks to lose it to, plain and simple. And the video by director Danny Perez is an equally unrelenting head trip, leaving nothing in its wake.
DISAPPEARER 2xLP is now available for preorder (although vinyl is delayed)on Hospital Productions. The cassette, which i copped a couple months ago, is also available and ready.

CCFX - "The One To Wait" (2017)
Heather put me on to this DFA "supergroup" from the Pacific Northwest a while back. Unfortunately i missed their NYC live debut at Elsewhere a few weeks ago because we were doing Future Friday. So far they have only released a 4 song EP (and a remix EP).
E.R.P.-"New Road"(2016)
after copping the Texas Instrumentals comp from T.R.U. Recordings (featuring Convextion from Dallas, TX), i had to look up what else Convextion has been up to in the last few years. I found this release under his E.R.P. moniker.

Juan MacLean ft. Amy Douglas-"Quantum Reach"(2018)
Man Power has united 25 artists for an entirely original and exclusive new charity compilation called 'We We We' which will benefit the leading UK NGO, Help Refugees. “I have wanted to do a compilation of this nature for a long time," Man Power said of the compilation, which is set to release on his own Me Me Me label. "I’m incredibly lucky, as well as eternally grateful, to know so many talented artists who were willing to donate wonderful music towards this important cause.” Off the compilation, we receive the first listen of Juan Maclean's offbeat and poignant track 'Quantum Reach'. The 'We We We' compilation also features originals from Pional, Shit Robot, label boss Man Power himself and more. It's out May 4.

Amazing quality (bedroom/lo-fi yet charming w/ a touch of sleekness"current new-wave from Brisbane.

Fret-"List is Full"(2017)
Mick Harris arrives on L.I.E.S. via his FRET moniker. A man who needs no
introduction via his exploits in Napalm Death and Scorn among a slew of
other legendary projects, Harris returns after his lp last year,
bringing FRET back to life once again. Four tracks of absolutely
crushing broken techno; dense blasting and unstoppable chaos that lays
waste to all in sight. Trancers and candy ravers step aside. An
unmissable record from a true originator. This is no compromise techno
in its most true form. Highly recommended!
Profit Prison-"MYRA" EP(2017)
This cold minimal synth EP came out on cassette last year on NYC label Hospital Productions . Reminds me of Final Bloom.

The Juan MacLean-"The Brighter the Light"(2017)
Juan is dropping a new single tomorrow (on DFA records, of course). Here's his last single from last year :)
Canter-"The Tangible"(2018)
Canter have members in both Chicago and New York. They use a lot of cool analog gear and do a great job of playing dark yet fun and intense new-wave. I finally listened to this soundtrack to Through the Wide Gate all the way through today and this is the standout single, but the whole thing is pretty fun to listen to.
The Majits-"Fragmented"
Dark Entries recently released a compilation featuring Nick Blinko's pre- Rudimentary Peni electronic band, The Majits along w/ two other bands that were on the Outer Himalayan record label.

Sound Waves-"I Wanna Feel the Music"(1991)
Soulful, deep house off of the Strictly Rhythm dance label.
OMD-"The More I See You"
Taken from their PEEL Sessions. This track is on their second lp Organisation. I'm really regretting not seeing this synth duo a few weeks back at Terminal 5. They are one of the best bands ever- in my humble opinion.

I had to be at work early the next day, so on this particular Friday night i only threw on 5 songs (and then went home relatively early)
Dust-"Trespass Against Us"
Vanity-"Nasty Girl"
Charlie-"Spacer Woman"
Sparks-"No. 1 Song in Heaven"
New Order-"Perfect Kiss"
I definitely went out to dance after throwing that New Order song on :)

Eddy Grant-"Walking on Sunshine"(1978)
This recently acquired album on cassette for only $1.99 is proving to be quite a bargain. So far i've only listened to side A, but it's pure [fire emoji].
Deep Pill-"Detroit Immortal"(2016)
Not to be confused with NYC's PILL, Deep Pill sound exactly like what you would expect from their name-deep techno. I recently copped the Seer cassette from Ascetic House for only $6. It's outtakes and what not from their previous album on the same label. It rips.

Pet Shop Boys-"Two Divided by Zero"(1986)

Mike Simonetti ft. Santana-"Release Your Body to the Best"(2016)
Gah this track is pure fire. So i recently acquired a handful of Simonetti 12" singles that i had listened to but not yet purchased the physical vinyl. I still have a love/hate relationship w/ vinyl btw. Still, I'm glad i now own all these Simonetti records.

Ikonika-"Oral Suspension"(2017)
Friday, February 2, 2018
Robin S-"Show Me Love [Stonebridge mix]"(1992)
Remixed by Stonebridge. This is the only version of this song that matters (to me). Shout out to my man, Matt, that called me out for playing the wrong version of this the other night. All other versions DO sound wack, in comparison.
Thursday, February 1, 2018
Lou Rebecca-"Tonight"(2018)
It figures that Italians Do It Better had a hand in this release, as well as Holodeck Records.
Wednesday, January 31, 2018
Professor Rhythm-"Bafana Bafana" (1995)
African house originally on cassette. Of course, reissued on Awesome Tapes from Africa.
