The Day the Music Died

We watched the movie La Bamba yersterday while dealing with this smowmageddon; I didn't even realize this anniversary was coming up. His name being yelled out at the end always gives me goosebumps. RICHIE!!!

February 3rd, 1959

We got Buddy Holly representin' Lubbock, Texas. (Both times I have been to Lubbock we've never checked out the Buddy Holly Museum). The Big Bopper was also born in Texas. And we got Riche Valenz reppin' the Chicanos, or as Lou Diamond Philips would say in Young Guns: "chavatos".
