I would guess 1972 and probably taken in Berlin. I'm pretty sure these 3 were all chilling in Germany when Bowie and Reed were recording Transformer.
I would have to totally agree with your guess. Only they probably weren't just"chilling". There were probably some lascivious activities going on....
As I recall Bowie and Lou were trying to kick heroin at the time, while Iggy was...well Iggy :P
I can't tell when this is from, but it sure is a classic photo.
